The Five-Contact Spark Plug, from Huse

When I started exploring e-stim, I looked mostly at the toys for sale at large commercial sex-toy shops, like Extreme Restraints or Stockroom.  I wasted plenty of money on cheap products made in China and resold with a massive markup by unethical companies like Rimba and Zeus.  I wasted plenty of money on shiny but poorly designed products from companies like PES.

Later I would learn that sex toys are like chocolates.  Hershey’s is fine, Nestle is ok, but if you want a truly incredible experience, you need to work a little harder.  You need to search for those little shops where they sell fine Belgian chocolate, confected according to family traditions.  You need to meet the artisans who hand-craft small batches of beautiful chocolate gems.  Taste one and you’ll know there’s no going back.

Let’s take a look at the mainstream electro-vaginal plugs.

Some of them are long and skinny, like the one from PES.  The contact area starts at the base of the plug and stretches almost all the way back.  Because it’s skinny, it doesn’t provide a satisfying, “full” feeling, and also, the electrodes internally aren’t going to be pressed against the vaginal walls.  The length of the electrode contact is also silly; the labia are going to feel most of the electricity, and the first inch or two inside will feel the rest.   It’s unlikely that the internal electricity is going to force any woman to have vaginal contractions, since most of the current is going to move through the first couple of inches.

That PES plug is also just an acrylic that’s been painted with silver print.  That’s what I do at home, to make my own electrodes — but the silver print will inevitably scrape off, and lends itself to the occasional hot spot.  It’s just not a respectable way to manufacture an item for sale.

The Zeus Electrosex plugs have fully insertable electrode contacts.  This means that they will force vaginal muscles to contract, a sensation that can simulate an orgasm.  It’s a nifty effect, but in my experience, most women prefer the tingling sensation on their labia, and the Zeus plugs can’t do that.  In addition, when the vaginal muscles clench, what will they clench down on?  The tapered end of a torpedo-shape.  It’s unrewarding to clench on an emptiness.

The designers of the PES plug and the Zeus plug simply weren’t thinking about female anatomy.  They weren’t asking questions about female erotic response.  To find the kind of inventor who cares enough to think things through, you need to look past the mainstream.  Leave the well-trod paths behind, and explore the odd little shops where the master artisans do their work.

The Five-Contact Spark Plug is that kind of masterpiece.

Rupert Huse, who designed the Spark Plug, was clearly thinking about female anatomy and erotic response.  The Spark Plug is thick and hefty.  It’s built like a tank and it provides that feeling of fullness. It has four short electrodes at the base, so it keeps the tingling sensations on the labia and the first few inches.  There are four of them there, so a good TENS unit, like the ErosTek 312, can run two complementary sensations along the labia and the g-spot at the same time.

There’s also a fifth electrode contact, deep inside.  Hook this up and you can explore the sensations of deep internal electricity — vaginal muscles clenching around a hard, smooth, rounded object.  A woman described it to me as an internal massage — the five contacts were like fingers, stroking her on the inside.

The five inputs make the Spark Plug really configurable — you can try many different combinations of sensation.  Electricity can move from any one of these five electrode contacts to any one (or two) of the others, and you can choose if you want the electricity to go from top to bottom, left to right, top to internal, left to bottom, and so on.  It could take months to try out all the setups.

The Spark Plug is made from steel and hard plastic, so it’s sanitizable, sturdy, and conducts electricity evenly, without hot spots.

Rupert Huse, the artisan behind the Spark Plug, told me in an email, “everyone said it was foolish at first.”  Don’t they always?

I have a PES for many years and visited the Zeus site then googled the same…arriving at your blog.
I felt something amiss for the lack of internal specs on the unit. A THANK YOU for providing a needed service to the many mislead by the hucksters. I am looking for something more stimulating
than the usual pes, folsom, etc. I read about stereo stim and realize the potential to ‘cook’ your insides using a probe/urethral cath (some reason I enjoy that combo feels most like an ejaculation,Puendal nerve involement maybe) back to my though…is there any safe method to use higher frequencies say 1khz to 20khz? I briefly 2-3min hook the inputs to a battery operated stereo playing music long enough to realize I enjoyed sensation the midrange to moderate bass felt really nice and I did not experiment onto the higher frequencies :-( I surmise you have already experimented, so, any additional info you pass along would be appreciated including any schematics you may possess. Years ago there was a multitude of homebrew/reverse engineered material. Thanks Again for providing useful info FOC .

I VERY new to this. I wanted to know if there was instructions by anyone. I just bought the twin stim (today) and am not sure what its compatible with and what else do I need to buy. zeuz or rimba attachments. Thank God I came across your blog before I bought anything as I am really intrigued by the e-sex aspects. You saved me some money and mistakes! I am starting off small, but want to get my wife the sparkplug and huse anal plug as budgets permit. You know kids and all are the eternal wallet suckers. Anyway, if you could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks again! Matt
