A sex toy zine
It came in the mail today, and kept on coming. I opened the large envelope, and was greeted with a spread of catalogs, followed by a sheaf of postcards, and the booklet I ordered. There was a sticker, too. There was even a brown paper bag that had been stapled shut; the word YOU was printed on the outside. I opened it carefully. Inside was a personal letter, written by someone I don’t know, intended for someone I don’t know.
I had become an accidental voyeur, a spy on the private lives of strangers.
All this fun had erupted because I’d spent two dollars on a pamphlet devoted to making your own sex toys.
Go Fuck Yourself is the name of a marvelous little booklet from Microcosm Publishing. It’s photocopied and handwritten. If you take the time to decipher the scrawl, you’ll find easy, detailed instructions on making your own sex toys and BDSM implements.
Andy/Annie Danger has taken the time to write out sex toy instructions with more detail and more intelligence than any of the glossier books or websites I’ve seen (except maybe this one). Go Fuck Yourself will teach you how to make your own restraints, strap-on harnesses, tit and clit pumps, vibrators, and more.

Sex and sexual expression have long been criminalized in our culture. By going and fucking yourself, teaching others, talking openly about it, experimenting, and doing it for cheap or free, you are not only having fun, releasing stress, being healthy, and learning — you are fighting this longstanding criminalization of the body, our desires, and sex in general (so comb that palm hair and be proud of who you are).
